E-commerce website Alibaba’s Singles Day sale will see more US retailers this year

In the e-commerce world, we have seen that it does not matter if you are from China or US or India or any other part of the world, what matters is that you need to have the right intent and the right strategy. This applies for both the customers are well as retailers who are looking to either buy from e-commerce websites or looking to sell their products. Now, China’s biggest e-commerce website Alibaba is hosting its annual Singles Day sale which will fall on November 11. As is tradition, China’s biggest sale of the year which is the 11.11 Singles Day event will be held this year as well.

Now, we have kept saying how the holiday season in the US will have great revenue in sales during the season. But we have found out that the single-day sale in China which is the Singles Day sale will see more revenue than the holiday season in other parts of the world. Yes, that is right because the Singles Day event will have billions of dollars spent and items bought by the customers who will get lucrative deals as well. As per some reports, this sale in China is similar to or even bigger than US’ Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales so you can imagine the enormity of these sales.

Talking about this year’s Singles Day sale, it is said that US retailers will be participating more than ever in this year’s sale. Now, we know that the trade war between the US and China. For this reason, people are refraining from directly joining in the sale and they could run deals at the same time so as to take advantage of the people looking for deals. In another comparison of China’s Singles Day sale, Jiang Fan who is the president of Alibaba’s Taobao and Tmall business said that “Think of 11.11 as the Super Bowl for brands,” in an interview with CNBC.
