Our story begins in Hollywood back in 2005 when Ben Houston, our founder and CTO, created the CGI software that would go on to be used in dozens of blockbusters, from Harry Potter to the Twilight saga and The Avengers.
In 2014 WebGL launches, and suddenly, brands and b2b companies could now show interactive visuals online, and Ben's services were suddenly in high-demand. Threekit became go-to software to create, edit, optimize, and display amazing product visuals for use on the web, in e-commerce, at trade shows and beyond.
In 2018, Ben teamed up with digital commerce veteran Godard Abel, a serial entrepreneur who'd built and sold enterprising software companies Big Machines and Steel Brick from the ground up. Threekit is now redefining the landscape of visual commerce.
