Our journey began in 1995 when seasoned industry executive Michael Shaw founded Louisiana Security Holdings LLC (“LSH”) and acquired a small, commercial security monitoring company in Shreveport, Louisiana and Security Concepts was launched. The company experienced rapid growth throughout the Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas regions powered by a combination of internal growth initiatives as well as strategic acquisitions.
Interface Security Systems (“Interface”) came about in 1997 when LSH acquired St. Louis-based Interface Systems Inc. This greatly expanded the company's reach into the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic region as we further accelerated our journey and became established as an eminent commercial and residential security monitoring company.
By the end of 2001, Interface had grown to become one of the top 20 security companies in the country, based on industry rankings, and it was the time Shaw and his management team partnered with SunTx Capital Partners to recapitalize the company and set in motion the next period of growth that saw Interface becoming a nationally-recognized provider of security monitoring services.
A key moment in the company's history was during 2007 when Interface foresaw an emerging market disruption with the convergence of networking and IP-based technologies which needed to support security and other applications that IT and loss prevention teams were deploying at their multi-site locations. Interface acquired Loss Prevention Management (“LPM”) and was uniquely positioned to deliver a combination of networking and physical security solutions to enterprise customers.
Interface completed another game-changing acquisition in 2012 with our merger with Westec Intelligent Surveillance, aka Digital Witness – a leading provider of interactive video monitoring services.
Today, in 2020, Interface is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and with offices and coverage throughout the United States and Canada, Interface is an industry leading managed services provider specialized in delivering a comprehensive bundle of managed network, asset protection, and business intelligence services. We provide easily scalable services to many of America's best known companies in the distributed enterprise space including retail, restaurant, hospitality, and financial services.
Our service offerings include SD-WAN, managed broadband, 4G/LTE wireless, Voice over IP, interactive video surveillance, life safety alarm systems, and video analytics.
